About 27 citizens died in traffic accidents in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Oct. 22 (YPA) – About 27 civilians have been died and 236 others injured in 96 traffic accidents in Hajjah province since the beginning of 2020, according to a report issued by the Provincial Traffic Department on Thursday.

The report indicated that the material losses resulting from the accidents amounted to 16 million and 350 thousand riyals.

The deputy director of the province traffic, Colonel Abdul Rahman Al-Qa’adi, attributed the main causes of accidents to excessive speeding and lack of maintenance of vehicles, in addition to non-compliance with traffic rules.
