FM meets with WFP’s Reprehensive in Yemen

SANAA, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Sunday met in Sanaa with the World Food Program (WFP)’s Representative and Country Director in Yemen Laurent Bukera.

In the meeting, the Foreign Minister confirmed the good and close relationship between the program and the authorities in the areas administered by the National Salvation Government.

Sharaf indicated the willingness of the competent authorities to coordinate and exert more necessary efforts to solve any problems facing the implementation of the programs run by the WFP.

In this regard, he stressed that to ensure the performance of the tasks assigned to the WFP and other international organizations there must be more cooperation and transparency.

The Foreign Minister referred that the directives of the Supreme Political Council and the Salvation Government are clear and explicit to provide facilities and cooperate with international organizations working in the humanitarian field in Yemen.
