SANAA, Oct. 11 (YPA) – A man was shot dead on Saturday evening during opposing protests organized by left and right-wing groups in the American city center of Denver, and the police arrested a suspect, who said he worked as a private security guard.
The KUSA TV channel, affiliated with NBC News, said on its website that the man, who was arrested due to the shooting, was a security guard that the channel had hired to protect its staff, adding that the channel “used for months to use private security to accompany employees In the protests ”.
The shooting occurred in the courtyard of the Denver Museum of Art during the protests.
Denver Police Investigations Chief Joe Montoya has not confirmed whether the suspect works at the station, and authorities have not identified the victim nor the suspected shooter.
The chief of investigations said that the police managed to separate the two rival groups.
