6 Palestinians wounded by bullets of Zionist enemy in West Bank

SANAA, Oct. 10 (YPA) – Six Palestinian youths were wounded by bullets of the Zionist enemy forces and dozens of people were suffocated during confrontations with the enemy in separate areas of the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian sources, quoting the coordinator of the Popular Resistance in Kafr Qaddum, Murad Shteiwi, reported that dozens of enemy soldiers and the so-called border guards attacked the participants in the Kafr Qaddum anti-settlement march and the demand to open the village street, which has been closed for more than 17 years, using live bullets and metal-coated rubber and tear gas canisters, as a result, four gunshot wounds and dozens of severe suffocation cases.

Violent confrontations broke out between the youths, who confronted the soldiers with stones and forced them to retreat, and an ambush was set up by special forces of the enemy army with the aim of arresting the youths without any arrests being recorded.

The village recently witnessed a violent escalation wave by the Zionist enemy represented by frequent night raids and ambushes in deserted houses with the aim of suppressing the march, but the citizens insist on continuing until achieving its goals.

In the same context, two Palestinian citizens were wounded by live bullets, on Friday evening, during clashes with the Zionist enemy forces that broke out in the Bab al-Zawiya area in the center of Hebron.

Eyewitnesses reported that the enemy soldiers occupied the roofs of a number of shops and citizens’ homes in the Bab Al-Zawiya area, and fired live bullets, metal-coated rubber, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens.

The shooting resulted in the wounding of two civilians with live bullets in their lower limbs, after which they were taken to the hospital, in addition to the injury of dozens of suffocation cases, who were treated in the field.

Bab Al-Zawiya Square is located in an easy area in the bosom of the valley, and it forms the main center of the city of Hebron, and is surrounded by many military sites and settlement blocs.

These gatherings and sites were established after the heroic Daboya operation that took place in the heart of Al-Shuhada Street in 1980, in which six settlers were killed.
