Interior Minister inspects Watan Radio

SANAA, Oct. 5 (YPA) – Yemen’s Interior Minister Major General Abdul Karim Amir al-Din Hussein al-Houthi inspected Watan Radio (voice of the Ministry of Interior) and was briefed on the progress of the media performance and the radio program map.

General Al-Houthi also listened to the specialists who explained the mechanism for conducting administrative and technical reforms in the radio, which his Excellency the Minister directed to implement.

During the visit, the Minister of Interior chaired a meeting attended by Major General Rizk al-Joufi, undersecretary of the Interior Ministry for the security and police sector, and director general of guidance and public relations, Brig. Gen. Mansour al-Lakumi.

The Minister of Interior stressed the importance of the radio to be a link between citizens and the Ministry of Interior in order to provide a media message that reflects the Ministry security achievements, and follow-up to solve the problems suffered by citizens in the field of security.

He stressed the need for the media to assume its responsibilities in keeping up with security achievements and responding to rumors, as well as coordination with various national media to convey the full picture of the stable security situation experienced by citizens in all areas under control of national salvation government.
