Shipment of smuggled American weapons sized in western Iran

SANAA, Oct. 1 (YPA) – The assistant governor of the town of Serbel Dhab, western Iran, Hasan Birkarmi, announced the discovery and seizure of a shipment of smuggled American weapons in the border region.
In a statement to Fares agency in Kermanshah, Hasan Barkermi said that the security personnel of the border regiment in the Serbel region discovered and seized a shipment of smuggled weapons in this border area.

“This smuggled shipment includes 40 9mm Bertha pistols and 80 batches of American-made bullets,” he added.

The political and security deputy for the governor of Sarbel Dhahab said: A lawsuit was filed in this regard and referred to the judicial authorities of the city with the accused to decide on the legal procedures.
