SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – The permanent mission of Lebanon to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva reaffirmed Lebanon’s right to resistance to liberate what remains of its occupied lands and defend its sovereignty in light of the Israeli enemy continuing its violations of Lebanese airspace and sovereignty.
A statement issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Monday that the Lebanese mission, within the framework of the public debate sessions taking place at the forty-fifth session of the Human Rights Council, responded to the attack by the representative of the Israeli enemy on Lebanon and its right to resist.
The statement added that Lebanon renews its adherence to its right to the resistance to liberate its land and defend its sovereignty through the constitutional institutions that express the will of the Lebanese people and of which the Lebanese resistance is an integral part.
The statement affirmed Lebanon’s commitment to Resolution 1701 and its implementation of everything necessary to facilitate the performance of the United Nations Force (UNIFIL) its mission, and reminded the international community that the occupying power does not respect its obligations under this resolution and continues to attack Lebanese sovereignty and its warplanes violating its airspace and using it to launch attacks on Syrian territory.
The statement also called on the international community to fulfill its duty to prosecute the Israeli occupation entity for committing international crimes, as crimes that are not subject to statute of limitations.
