Lebanese President affirms his adherence to French initiative

SANAA, Sept. 28 (YPA) – Lebanese President Michel Aoun affirmed his adherence to the initiative launched by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the Lebanese crisis.
This came during his reception, on Monday, at Baabda Palace, with the French Ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Fuchsia on a farewell visit on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic work in Lebanon, noting the interest Macron is showing towards Lebanon and the Lebanese.

Aoun regretted that the President-designate Dr. Mustafa Adeeb was not able to form the new government according to the principles of the French President’s initiative, especially with regard to the reforms that are supposed to take place, whether those that need laws approved by the House of Representatives, or those that will be issued From the government far from its formation and winning of confidence.

Aoun thanked Ambassador Foche for the efforts he made during his stay to strengthen the Lebanese-French relations in all fields, wishing him success in his new diplomatic mission.

In recognition of this, President Aoun awarded Ambassador Foche the National Order of the Cedar in the rank of Senior Officer.
