Networking, messaging services are incentive for shift towards e-government: Deputy PM

SANAA, Sep. 27 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli said on Sunday that the messaging and networking services launched by the Public Telecommunication Corporation constitute an additional incentive for the transformation towards the e-government application.

Dr. Maqbouli confirmed the Salvation Government’s support for the telecommunications sector for its pivotal role in supporting the national economy.

He explained that despite the difficult circumstances the country is going through, the paths of construction and modernization are proceeding according to the approach of the martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad and his project “A hand builds and another protects.”

The national vision for building the modern Yemeni state has given an importance for the telecommunications and information technology sector as one of the most vital sectors, he added.
