Gaza fishermen launch strike in protest over killing of fishermen by Egyptian army fire

SANAA, Sept. 27 (YPA) –  A total strike launched by  Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning in a  protest over  the killing of two brothers from the al-Za’azou family, and the arrest of a third one by the Egyptian army, on the border of the Gaza Sea yesterday.

According to Palestinian sources, fishermen in all governorates of the Gaza Strip refrained from fishing in solidarity with the Za’azou family and delivering a message of disapproval against the violations to which they are subjected, both from the Zionist enemy and the Egyptian side.

The fishermen’s union announced on Saturday that the sea will be closed from this afternoon until next Monday.
