Exchange shops close in southern provinces, amid significant decline in riyal rate

SANAA, Sep. 23 (YPA) – The exchange rate of the Yemeni riyal fluctuated on Wednesday, one day after its significant decline for the second week in a row in the southern provinces, reaching 852 riyals per dollar in Aden province, and 851 riyals per dollar in Hadramout province.

This comes two days after the closure of exchange shops in the southern provinces.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni riyal exchange stabilized in the capital, Sanaa, at 610 riyals per dollar, while the sale of foreign currencies on the black market has stopped.
