Two prisoners of army freed in Taiz

TAIZ, Sept. 15 (YPA) – Local and tribal mediation led by the governor of Lahj province managed to free two prisoners of the heroes of the army and popular committees in an exchange deal between the two parties under which two prisoners of aggression were released.

During the exchange, which took place in Mawiyah  district, the deputy governor, Hazaa al-Shaajri called on the leaders of the mercenaries to assume their religious and national responsibilities and to cooperate to release all prisoners.

He pointed out that successive batches of mercenary prisoners have been launched by the army and committees in Taiz province in unilateral humanitarian initiatives over the past few days.

The freed prisoners expressed their great joy for being released from the clutches of mercenaries where they had received cruel treatment and torture during their years of captivity at al-Anad base in Lahj province.
