Lebanese army detonates 4 tons of ammonium nitrate in Beirut port

BEIRUT, Sept. 5 (YPA) – The Lebanese Army Command announced on Saturday that a quantity of “ammonium nitrate” was found a few days ago in Beirut port, and it weighed 4 tons and 350 kilograms.

According to the army’s statement, the engineering regiment units worked to detonate the ammonium nitrate quantity in the explosion fields of the army.

On Thursday evening, the Lebanese army revealed that it found quantities of ammonium nitrate inside four containers near the entrance to Beirut port.
