Sources familiar with the matter told Yemen Press Agency that Saudi Arabia began two days ago to distribute one and a half billion riyals to the sheikhs and leaders of the armed factions loyal to the coalition in the area.

The sources added that the Saudi money exploded a dispute between the leaders of the armed coalition factions, and the tribal sheikhs, among them, Brigadier General Saif Al-Shaddadi, commander of the so-called 159th Brigade, and Sheikh Mohammad Mabkhout al-Harq.

The sources explained that Al-Shaddadi refused to grant 300 million riyals to Sheikh al-Harq Mahliah front, which prompted Sheikh Mohammad al-Harq to acquire 300 rifles that were supposed to be delivered to the “159 Brigade” and disbursed them to his tribal groups.
