Land invasions trigger fighting among STC militias in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 23 (YPA) – Fierce clashes broke out between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)  militias   in the southern port city of Aden, local sources said on Sunday.

Local sources in the city confirmed that violent clashes broke out between militia members in al-Madarabah neighborhood of Sheikh Othman district.

The sources said that the clashes erupted  over the seizure of a plot of land next to the road transport.

The phenomenon of land invasions of citizens and the state has been widespread since the coalition entered the city in the second half of 2015.
