American coalition withdraws from Iraqi Taji base

SANAA, Aug 23 (YPA) – The spokesman for the Joint Operations Command in Iraq, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, announced that the US coalition will withdraw from the Taji base north of the capital, Baghdad.
Al-Khafaji confirmed in a statement to the media that the coalition forces will withdraw from the Taji base on Sunday, and the withdrawal process will take place on Sunday morning in the presence of military leaders from both sides.
For months, the US coalition in Iraq has been withdrawing from some Iraqi camps and bases according to a schedule prepared in advance with the Iraqi government.
