Israeli occupation army bombs several sites in Gaza Strip

SANAA, Aug. 20 (YPA) – On Wednesday evening, the Israeli Occupation Army announced bombing of several positions in Gaza, saying it was “in response to rocket fire from the Gaza Strip towards the settlements of the occupation.

“IDF tanks just bombed Hamas military posts in the Gaza Strip in response to the firing of incendiary and booby-trapped balloons from the Gaza Strip into Israeli settlements,” the Israeli Occupation Army spokesman said in a tweet.

On Monday, the Egyptian security delegation arrived in the Gaza Strip for talks with the Hamas leadership to discuss the peace process between the Gaza Strip and Israel.

The move came after the Gaza Strip witnessed an escalation on the ground, with the firing of incendiary and booby-trapped balloons towards Israeli areas adjacent to the Gaza Strip, While, the Israeli air force launched a series of raids targeting Palestinian faction positions throughout the Gaza Strip.
