Islah militants fire artillery at STC sites in Abyan

ABYAN, Aug. 18 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah Party militants on Tuesday fired artillery at several sites of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia, in Shakra area of Abyan province.

A spokesman of the STC militias in the province, Mohammad al-Naqib, confirmed on his Twitter account that the Islah militants bombed the STC’s sites in the coastal area of Shakra, with various weapons.

He affirmed also that the Islah attack on the STC sites came after Al-Qaeda leader o in the Arabian Peninsula, Saad Atef al-Ateeqi al-Awlaki, had appointed so-called Abu Al-Bara as a new leader in the organization in Shakra Front.
