Violent explosion rocks square of Islah demonstrations in Shabwa

SHABWA, Aug. 15 (YPA) – A violent explosion rocked on Saturday evening Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province, in eastern Yemen.

The bombing took place after Islah militants stopped a military convoy of Emirati forces in al-Houta area of Mayfa’a district for inspection, according to local sources in the city.

The explosion place is near the gate of the office of the province’s governor in Hadi’ government, Mohammed Bin Adiu, affiliated with Islah Party, and the vicinity of the square where a demonstration scheduled to be held Sunday.

The so-called “Southern National Alliance” financed by businessman Ahmed Al-Eisi, affiliated with Islah, had called to organize a pro-Islah demonstration in Shabwa.
