High-ranking Yemeni official arrested for possession of over $1 million in Cairo

SANAA, Aug. 11 (YPA) – Egyptian authorities detained director of Hadi’s prime minister office, Moeen Abdel Malik, for possession of over $1 million at Cairo International Airport, sources said.

According t to the sources, authorities at Cairo airport detained Ali al-Nuaimi, director of Moeen Abdul Malik’s Office of, after discovering that there was a million dollars in a bag that he refused to inspect on the grounds. He claimed to have a diplomatic passport.

The added that al-Nuaimi arrived at Cairo airport coming  from Seiyun airport.

Al-Nuaimi was on his way to hand over the large sum to a realtor as part of a deal to buy two flats for Moeen Abdel Malek in Cairo, worth 1.2 million dollars each, she added.
