Shura Council holds its regular meeting in Sanaa

SANAA, May 14 (YPA) – The Shura Council held on Monday in the capital Sanaa its regular meeting under chairmanship of Acting Speaker of the Council, Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidarous, in the presence of State Minister for Parliament and Shura Council Affairs, Dr. Ali Abu Holiqa.

In the meeting, Al-Aidarous welcomed the recently appointed members of the Shura Council, considering their appointment as a qualitative addition to the Council.

The attendees reviewed the letter referred to the Council from the presidential office on the expiration of the legal term of the chairman and members of the higher authority for control of tenders, auctions and government stores on 15 September 2017.

In this regard, the council approved the formation of a committee from the council members to examine the files of candidates for membership of the higher authority for control of tenders, auctions.

The council’s presidency and the formed committee were mandated to complete the legal procedures for the nomination and raise the list to the Supreme Political Council in order to issue the appointment decision of membership of the higher authority for control of tenders, auctions.
