SANAA, Aug 8 (YPA) – Iran has sent a new shipment of humanitarian aid under the auspices of the Red Crescent, weighing 15 tons, to be distributed to the wounded and those affected by the explosion in the Beirut port.
The assistant of the “Relief and Rescue Organization” of the “Iranian Red Crescent”, Muhammad Baqir Mohammadi, said that “the shipment containing foodstuffs was delivered to the Lebanese Red Cross,” adding, “The food aid includes dates, beans, lentils, tuna, rice, ghee, tea, sugar and salt.”
Iran also sent a field hospital with all medical equipment and medicines to treat the injured in the massive Beirut port explosion, which occurred five days ago.
