65 % of internet capacity is out of service due to rain, torrents: Telecommunications Corporation
SANAA, Aug. 6 (YPA) – An official source at the Public Telecommunication Corporation said on Thursday that 65 percent of the international capacities of the internet have gone out of service in Yemen due to heavy rains and torrential floods.
The source pointed out that the internet service was affected in all provinces due to the breakage of optical fiber cables.
He added that the technical teams of the Public Telecommunications Corporation are working in full swing to fix the optical fiber cables and restore internet service to its nature.
The source expressed the apology of the Corporation to its subscribers for this defect beyond its control.
