SANAA, July 28 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected on Tuesday that heavy rainfall would be continued on most of the Yemeni provinces within the coming 24 hours.
The center affirmed that the rains would be accompanied by thunderstorms, with strong winds on the range of the high mountainous highlands from Saada in the north to the governorates of Taiz and Lahj to the south.
It stated that the rain, wind, and storms might include the western coasts of the provinces of Hodeidah and Taiz and parts of the internal plateaus of the provinces of Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Dhalea, Bayda, Jawf, and Marib, as well as parts of the southern and eastern coasts.
The center called on citizens and drivers to take the necessary precautions from the landslides and mudslides, in addition to the noticeable decrease in the horizontal visibility due to the dense low clouds and fog, especially on the mountainous roads.
