Mahrah’s tribes revolt against Saudi-led coalition

MAHRAH, July 25 (YPA) – The Mahrah’s tribes have taken control of the demonstration square where the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) planned to hold a demonstration in the city of Al-Ghaydah , the center of the  province in eastern Yemen.

Witnesses said that tribal gunmen deployed  in the demonstration square, as well as in the streets and neighborhoods of the city of al-Ghaydah, and set up checkpoints on the roads leading to the city .

Tribal militants also took control of the entrances to the province, preventing the STC’s supporters from Hadhramaut  from entering the province

Mahrah tribal militants staged an armed demonstration in the city of Al-Ghaydah and vowed to foil the STC’s demonstration, which was planned to take place on Saturday.
