“Revolutionary Movement Council” calls for popular uprising in Aden

ADEN, July 21 (YPA) – The so-called “Revolutionary Movement Council” in Aden province, southern Yemen, called on Tuesday for a mass popular uprising in order to restore basic services to the people.

“Revolt for your dignity because the rulers of Aden today are gathered in different colors and they are only interested in stealing your steadfastness in facing the invaders at all stages,” the Council said in a press statement addressing Aden’s residents.

The statement pointed out that Aden has the right to rise up to demand the simplest elements of life, the provision of basic services, the operating of ports and the security in the city.

The Council stressed that its leaders, rules and supporters would be at the forefront of the popular revolution, which is time to erupt in all areas and neighborhoods of Aden.

“The coalition has abandoned the sons of Aden, and handed the city over to those who trade with and steal their joy, leaving them without water, electricity, or salaries,” the statement said.
