Covid-19 can be transmitted via mouth, nose secretions: WHO

SANAA, July 16 (YPA) – The World Health Organization (WHO)said on Thursday that COVID-19 spreads between people via mouth and nose secretions (droplets).

The WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean Ahmed al-Manzari during a press conference, said that some reports also indicated the possibility that COVID-19 could be transmitted between people through the air in crowded, closed places.

He added according to the health information, the COVID-19 transmitted between people through direct, indirect close contact with infected people.

Earlier, the WHO issued a warning statement on abandoning caution and lift precautionary measures against the coronavirus pandemic.
