Ministry of Human Rights condemns coalition airstrikes on wedding party in Jawf

SANA, July 15 (YPA) – The Ministry of Human Rights strongly condemn on Wednesday the Saudi-led aggression coalition’s airstrikes on a wedding party in Jawf province.

The ministry renewed in a statement its call on the international community, the Security and Human Rights Councils, to take a strict and serious position towards the brutality crimes committed by the Saudi-led aggression coalition against the Yemeni people.

The ministry said in a statement that targeting a wedding party in the house of the citizen Mohammed Mabkhout Al-Shway, and residential areas of Jawf province, is a war crime repeating without finding a deterrent voice by the international community and the Security and Human Rights Councils towards the coalition crimes in Yemen.

The statement affirmed that the silence of the international community has constituted a disappointment for humanity in Yemen and left recurring scars in the face of the international mechanisms of the United Nations.

The statement blamed the states of aggression for humanitarian and legal responsibility for the crime that led to killing and wounding over 25 civilians, including two women and children, and wounding seven others.

The ministry called for an urgent response to send an international committee to investigate into the direct crimes committed by the Saudi and UAE regimes against citizens in Yemen.

Earlier in the day, the aggression coalition fighter jets waged a series of strikes on the wedding party and residential areas in Jawf, killing and wounding over 25 civilians, including two women and children.
