SANAA, July 15 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center expected on Wednesday rain, thunder, in a number of Yemeni provinces over the next 24 hours.
The center declared in a statement that rainy weather, accompanied by thunder, sometimes includes parts of mountain heights and inner plateaus, which may extend to parts of the desert areas.
The center pointed to the formation of cumulus clouds accompanied by varying intensity rains accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds on separate parts of the mountain range of the western and southwestern highlands, and extending to parts of the interior plateaus during the afternoon and evening periods.
The center explained that the monsoons will be active, very fast, on the eastern regional waters and around the Socotra archipelago, as well as east of the Gulf of Aden and the eastern and southern coasts.
The center alerted the citizens in the areas where the rain is expected to not be present in the stomachs of the valleys and the torrential paths.
The center warned motorists on mountain roads of the decrease in horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog and low clouds, as well as rock and mud slides.
The center also alerted the sea goers, fishermen and ship owners in the territorial waters and east of the Gulf of Aden and around the Socotra Archipelago from the strong winds and the turbulence of the sea.
