Tax Authority’s head urges further efforts to improve tax collection

SANAA, July 14 (YPA) – Head of the Tax Authority Ahmed al-Shoutri on Tuesday urged redoubling efforts to improve performance and providing the state treasury with tax revenues.

During his inspection visit to the tax office in the capital Sanaa, al-Shoutri was briefed on the nature of the office’s work and the difficulties facing it, as well as its achievements during the first half of this year.

Al-Shoutri praised the efforts made by the tax office’s employees and cadres in the capital, especially in light of the current stage the country is going through, as a result of the aggression and the embargo imposed on Yemen for the sixth year in row.
