Targeting commercial, relief vessels aims to kill Yemeni people: Official

SANAA, May 12 (YPA) – Minister of Transport, Zakaria al-Shami on Saturday said that targeting the commercial, humanitarian and relief ships by Saudi-led coalition is a deliberate crime to kill the Yemeni people.

During his meeting with Chairman of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation Mohammed Eshak, al-Shami touched on the coalition’s attack against a Turkish vessel laden with more than 49 tons of wheat, while it was on its way to the port of Salif on Thursday.

The meeting discussed the developments in the Red Sea ports and the coalition’s flagrant aggression and arbitrary actions against commercial, humanitarian and relief vessels arriving at the corporation ports.

During the meeting, Eshak reveiwed steps have been implemented by the corporation in the ports of Hodaida and Salif, including the allocation of a commercial berth to receive oil derivatives beside two others berths in order to facilitate the process of unloading.
