Germany: About 4,000 people volunteer to test vaccine for coronavirus

SANAA, July 11 (YPA) – About 4,000 volunteers registered themselves as subjects to study a vaccine against the emerging corona virus at the university hospital in the German town of Tübingen.

“It is a real luxury situation, unlike the usual clinical trials … we usually find it difficult to reach enough people to be test subjects,” study director Peter Kremsner said in press statements.

A clinical study at the university clinic began in mid-June to test the tolerance of the vaccine developed by the “Cure Fak” company for biopharmaceuticals in the town of Tübingen, and since then about 50 people have taken the drug.

According to Kremsner, there have been no sudden side effects so far, adding that everything is fine so far, and that the study did not reveal any disturbing results.
