Islah militants target oil tanker in Abyan

ABYAN, July 9 (YPA) – Islah Party’s militants shot at a tanker loaded with oil at one of the military points in al-Arqoub area in Abyan province on Thursday, which led to its burning completely.

According to sources in the area, the tanker’s driver refused to pay royalties to the militants at the point, causing them to shoot at the tanker after it left the point.

The Islah militants impose on drivers of oil and gas tankers and merchants to pay illegal financial levies in exchange for their passage from military points in the areas under their control.
