Army forces take control of international road to Marib city

MARIB, July 8 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces and popular committees on Wednesday managed to take full control of the international road to the city of Marib towards Jawf junction, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

This came after fierce battles that the army forces and popular committees fought near the areas surrounding the international line linking Marib province with the capital Sanaa, one of the most important main entrances to the city of Marib.

The sources confirmed that the army and popular committees were able to control the remaining areas in the outskirts of Halhalan valley and al-Mayyah area, southeast of al-Jafra areas, and began advancing towards Saudi-led coalition forces’ sites near Mas camp in al-Jadaan district, which is witnessing violent clashes between the two parties.

The sources revealed that the hospitals in Marib city are full of wounded and bodies of dead from the coalition fighters, including prominent leaders.
