Abdulsalam refuses to meet UN envoy for Yemen

SANAA, July 5 (YPA) – The head of the National negotiating delegation,  Mohammed Abdulsalam refused to receive the UN envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths during the latter’s visit to the Omani capital Muscat, according to Political sources.

Political sources said  that Abdulsalam refused to receive Envoy Griffiths in a protest of the continued detention of oil ships and blockade on Yemen.

According to the sources, Mohammed Abdulsalam said that Griffiths has no new ideas on peace.

Abdulsalam has attacked US and British policies over the Yemeni issue, describing their calls and promotion of the new peace plans as propaganda.
