Local cameraman killed in Hadhramaut

HADHRAMAUT, June 30 (YPA) – Gunmen in Hadhramaut on Monday assassinated a local media in a frightening escalation that threatens to blow up the situation in Yemen’s most important city, geologically and economically.

Local sources said that unknown assailants killed cameraman Mohammed Ahmed al-Saqqaf in the center of Seiyun city.

Al-Saqqaf’s death is an extension of recent incidents in the midst of political and social unrest on the Hadhramaut oil plateau.

More forces are stepping up against Hadi’s government in the province, the most prominent authority of the tribal alliance and the pro-STC Yafa Hadhrami tribes, in addition to the refusal of other forces to enter the pro-UAE transitional in these tribal areas.

Hadhramaut Valley directorates are experiencing unprecedented insecurity and an increase in assassinations and killings.
