Coronavirus deaths in Latin America exceed 100,000

SANAA, June 24 (YPA) – The death toll of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Latin America has exceeded 100,000, according to a Reuters tally on Wednesday.

Half of that number is in Brazil alone, with recent statistics released by the Brazilian Ministry of Health reporting 52,645 deaths in the country.

Brazil is second in the world, with the number of Corona virus infections and deaths after the United States.

Latin American countries ranked in the world’s total of injuries and deaths in the world meter rankings as follows:

1. Peru in seventh place with 260,810 infections, 8,404 deaths.

2- Chile in eighth place with 250,767 infections, 4,505 deaths.

3. Mexico in 13th place with 185,122 infections, 22,584 deaths.

4. Ecuador is in 27th place with 51,634 infections and 4,274 deaths.

5. Argentina is in 31st place with 44,931 infections and 1,490 deaths.
