Yemeni army reveals new missile weapon

SANAA, June 23 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Tuesday revealed the use of a new missile weapon in the air and missile attack that it carried out on the Saudi Ministry of Defense, in the capital, Riyadh.

Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, a spokesman for the Yemeni army, confirmed in a statement that the new weapon is of winged missile that was used for the first time in an operational experiment.

Sarie did not give any full details about the new missile.

Earlier, the army spokesman announced that Sanaa forces carried out a major attack within the “fourth deterrence balance operation” with drones of Samad3 type, ballistic missiles of Quds and Tholfiqar types, and winged missiles against sensitive military headquarters in the Saudi capital, including the Ministry of Defense and Intelligence, Salman Air Force Base and military sites in Jizan and Najran.
