Three killed, one wounded in separate assassinations in Aden

ADEN, June 23 (YPA) – At least three people were killed and a fourth one was injured on Tuesday in separate assassinations in the southern port city of Aden, in a sign of a return to chaos as the conflict over the city continues, local media outlet reported.

According to Yemen News Portal website, unknown gunmen on a motorcycle assassinated two recruits belonging to the factions known as the “Naji Al-Yahary Brigades” loyal to the UAE-backed security belt forces while they were standing next to the Zahra Hotel in Dar Saad district.

The attackers fled the scene without knowing the motive of the attack, the website added.

The incident came hours after gunmen in the city of Sha’ab killed Omar Abdelbari and wounded another, called Mukhtar Nasser Saeed.

Meanwhile, gunmen believed to be loyal to the Southern transitional Council launched raids on homes in al-Khadhra city under the pretext of seeking terrorists.

The disputes between Hadi government and the UAE-backed STC are raging over the city, which is currently under the control of the later, which has recently suffered from the insurgency of armed factions within its ranks.
