SANAA, June 21 (YPA) – The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil, confirmed today, Sunday, that the Saudi-American aggression targeted the health sector in Yemen in a systematic and studied manner during the years of the aggression.
Al-Mutawakkil, during his presidency with the governor of Hajjah, Hilal Al-Soufi, extended meeting of health cadres in the province, during which he announced the results of the evaluation of public hospitals and private medical facilities, affirming that the aggression targeted more than 300 hospitals and health facilities.
He indicated that hundreds of ambulances were not spared from targeting the aggression in crimes during which the paramedic and the patient were killed, indicating that the aggression also targeted the health sector by emptying the country of qualified medical personnel and attracting them abroad.
Al-Mutawakkil noted that during the past weeks, and in conjunction with Corona, the aggression was aimed at striking public confidence in doctors and the Ministry of Health by pumping rumors and false news.
He stressed that aggression’s targeting of the medical sector is a targeted targeting and a multi-citizen information machine on awareness and trust in the doctor.
He pointed out that the health situation is very poor in the occupied areas by the coalition of aggression and the citizens there, including those returning from abroad, lack real health care.

Regarding the medical bridge that the United Nations promised to run to treat patients, the Minister of Health affirmed the international medical bridge as a big lie, as only 50 patients were transferred and stopped, and we have thousands of difficult medical cases in urgent need of treatment in the outside. Necessary and proportional.
To that, the Minister of Health indicated that the Hajjah governorate has suffered from deprivation during the past decades, as it has only eight rural hospitals serving 31 districts.
The Minister of Health stated that the cases of corona in Hajjah are negligible.
For his part, Governor of Hajjah Hilal Al-Sufi confirmed that 28 health isolation centers in the governorate have been allocated to face the Corona epidemic, stressing that despite the aggression and the blockade, there is a healthy renaissance in the province that I have missed for decades.
