STC militias storm city of Hadiboh on Socotra island

SOCOTRA, June 19 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Transitional Council (STC) ‘s militias have stormed and took control over the city of Hadiboh, the capital of Socotra Island , local sources reported on Friday.

According to the sources, the STC’s militias took control over the security department building in the city of Hadiboh, while the Saudi forces stood by.

Local residents in Hadiboh said big explosions are being heard across the city.

They added the STC launched artillery attacks targeting the Hadi forces’ positions in the Hebeiq area and other positions of local authority forces in the town.

.The attack on the city of Hadiboh came after the STC mobilized its fighters, one of the sources said, adding that over 200 armed men on board one ship to support the STC on the island.
