Tribal sheikh killed in Shabwa

SHABWA, June 17 (YPA) – A prominent tribal sheikh was killed on Wednesday in armed tribal clashes in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Manahi al-Sahaqi was killed in armed clashes between Aal Ishaq and Aal Dhaifallah tribes at al-Naqoub souk in Bayhan district, according to local sources.

The clashes erupted against the backdrop of a tribal revenge between the two tribes, the source explained.

Islah Party adopts the policy of “divide and rule” to trigger tribe revenges and engage Shabwa’s people in internal conflicts in order to preserve its interests by controlling the oil wealth in the province.
