Jordanian Health Ministry announces 18 new cases of corona virus

SANAA, June 16 (YPA) – Jordanian Ministry of Health on Monday announced the registration of 18 new cases of the emerging corona virus, including two local cases of randomized anonymous samples, and 16 non-local cases.

According to a joint statement issued by the Ministry of Health and the Prime Minister, the two local injuries, one of which was recorded in Ain al-Basha brigade of random samples, is currently being investigated, and the second has been monitored in Ramtha Brigade, which is also a random sample, and is being investigated.

The ministry added the non-local cases were distributed as follows: three cases of truck drivers, including two Jordanians traveling along Al-Omari border, and a foreign citizen who came across the borders of Jaber, who were dealt with according to the established protocol.

The ministry continued by saying that 13 cases of Jordanians coming from abroad reside in Al-Hajar Hotels (five from Saudi Arabia, two from Iraq, two from Kuwait, one from the Emirates, one  from Qatar, one from Pakistan and one from Chicago).

The ministry stated that the total number of cases in the Kingdom increased to 979 cases, noting that it recorded 10 cases of recovery in Prince Hamza Hospital
