Islah militants launch artillery attack at Emirati camp in Shabwah

SHABWAH, June 13 (YPA) – A number of Emirati soldiers were killed and several others wounded on Saturday in artillery shelling at their camp in Shabwah southeastern Yemen.

According to The Yemen News Portal, Saudi-backed forces “Hadi and al-Islah” in the coastal camp of Naqa’ah launched artillery shelling on an Emirati camp in Jardan district.

Local sources also confirmed that the UAE occupation military camp in the most important oil-exporting areas came under artillery fire at dawn of today.

They said that ambulances were seen leaving an Emirati camp heading towards the city of Mukalla.

The shelling following the UAE’s reinforcement of tribes that fought the last two days against Hadi’s forces in the province.

Hadi’s forces had earlier threatened the Emiratis to target their camps besieged by Hadi’s forces in response to Abu Dhabi’s attempts to re-empower its followers in the Southern Transitional Council in the province.
