SANAA, June 4 (YPA) – At least one person from the Takfiri Taliban group in Afghanistan was killed and two others wounded, after armed clashes in Logar State in eastern Afghanistan, according to a local police statement issued on Thursday.
The statement added that the clashes erupted after a group of Taliban militants attacked a security checkpoint on a road leading to Bul Alam, the state capital on Wednesday and the police returned fire, killing one gunman and wounding two others, and forced the other militants to flee.
No one of the police was injured during the exchange of fire, according to the statement.
