Health Minister announces mobilization in health sector to confront Covid-19

SANAA, June 2 (YPA) – Minister of Health Taha Al-Mutawakil announced on Tuesday a comprehensive medical mobilization in the health sector in various specialties to confront the Covid-19 in Yemen.

The move came during his meeting with medical and health personnel to review procedures related to providing medical protection in public and private hospitals.

In the meeting, the Minister said, “We are in a fierce confrontation with an invisible virus, therefore we need every doctor, specialist, technician, and nurse to stand by the patients”, stressing that medical and health personnel are an important capital for the country.

He pointed out that the Ministry would exert all efforts to provide all available capabilities to protect the Yemeni medical cadres, calling on businessmen and organizations to contribute to their duty to provide personal protection means for the health cadres.
