6 killed in bombing in Mogadishu
SANAA, May 31 (YPA) – At least six people were killed on Sunday by a roadside bomb exploded near the Somali capital, Mogadishu, while a minibus passed.
Reuters quoted a police commander, Farah Hassan, as saying: “What we know so far is that the explosion killed six people and wounded others”, adding, “the death toll is expected to increase.”
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Somalia has been mired in conflict since 1991, when tribal leaders overthrew President Mohamed Siad Barre and then turned against each other.
Since 2008, the Takfiri Youth Movement has been fighting to overthrow the central government in Somalia.
