Donald Trump postpones G7 summit
SANAA, May 31 (YPA) – US President Donald Trump has announced that he has decided to postpone the G7 summit in the United States until next September.
Trump said, in a press statement, on Saturday evening, aboard his presidential plane, that he wanted to postpone the summit of the Group of Seven major countries from late June, noting that he hoped to hold it during next September.
Trump stated that he wanted to invite to this summit Russia, India, Australia and South Korea, which are not part of the “G7” group, indicating that he would like to do so in order to discuss the issue of China during the meeting.
The US President considered that the “G7” in its current form represents an “outdated group”, indicating that it does not adequately reflect current developments in the world.
