Japanese experts call for preparation for new wave of corona
SANAA, May 31 (YPA) – A Japanese expert committee called on the government to expand the scope of the PCR tests to detect infection with the Corona virus and strengthen medical systems, to prepare for a possible second wave of emerging coronavirus, Japanese news agency “G.Press” said on Saturday.
Japan has seen an increase in cases of Covid-19 disease from early April to mid of the same month, and it has become difficult for some regions to conduct “PCR tests” immediately for suspected cases that doctors believe there is a need to carry out virus tests for them, the committee announced on Friday.
Chaired by Takagi Wakita, director general of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, the committee asked the government to ensure that virus tests can be conducted quickly, by increasing test personnel and making better use of virus testing companies.
