WFP cargo plane arrives at Sanaa International Airport
SANAA, May 30 (YPA) – A World Food Programme (WFP) cargo plane, carrying 15 tons of medical and therapeutic supplies, arrived at Sanaa International Airport on Friday, a source in the airport told Yemen Press Agency on Saturday.
The cargo plane has received all air navigation services and facilities in force in international airports and in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization “ICAO”.
After the plane’s arrival, a specialized medical team from Sana’a International Airport, under the direct supervision of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, carried out the spraying and sterilization of the entire shipment to enhance the precautionary and preventive measures to combat the Corona virus, and in implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee for Epidemic Control in air ports.
